Hiring: Street Lighting & Traffic Sign Installation Operatives | Northamptonshire Based

DST Contracting is expanding! We are seeking skilled and motivated Street Lighting and Traffic Sign Installation Operatives to join our team for projects across the UK.

If you are based in or near Northamptonshire, have a solid background in highways lighting, traffic sign installation and are looking for a fresh challenge with a growing contractor, we want to hear from you!.

The Role

You will be a key part of a team delivering essential infrastructure upgrades. Key responsibilities include:

  • Column Installation: Professional installation of lighting columns, brackets and luminaires.

  • Cable Pulling: Installation of electrical cabling for street lighting networks.

  • Groundworks: Trenching, ducting, and chamber installation works.

  • Plant Operation: Operating machinery for excavation and lifting.

  • Traffic Signs: Installation of traffic signs from standard cycleway signs to overhead gantry signs.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

  • Driving License: Full UK license.

  • CSCS Card: Valid and in date card.

Desired Certifications: We are looking for candidates with experience or tickets in the following:

  • Lorry Loader (HIAB): For safe loading, installation and removal of lighting columns.

  • 360 Excavator: Above or Below 10t for trenching and ducting works.

  • Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW): Valid 1-day certificate.

  • Safety Critical Medical: Must hold a valid "Fit for Work" medical certificate.

  • Highways Electrical: G39, Previous HERS registration.

  • Street Works: NRSWA Units for signing, lighting, and guarding.

  • Access: IPAF (1b) for working at height.
